How pricing models evolve with account size?

In one of our previous posts, we discussed the process we followed to fix pricing plans for our business phone system. We mentioned some of the important reasons why our customers hated our previous pricing model. And, we used these inputs and analyzed our existing data to arrive at a new pricing strategy. Since our pricing change, our conversion rates have gone up many folds. And, we have signed up some power users (companies with active support call centers or massive outbound sales operations).

As your business scales, you start facing a completely new set of business problems. In our case, calling minutes are creating a roadblock for us to signup some big customers. Business phone system is a critical part of any business’s operations stack (which includes CRM, Marketing, Communication tools). So, we understand that no one will appreciate any unpredictable cost that too attached to an important operational part of the business.

Some of our customers are not happy with the fact that they have to buy calling credits every now and then. Procurement teams hate transactional charges as they want a fixed plan. A plan that covers everything which they can get approved by their management in a single go.

And, this problem is not limited to just big accounts. We talked to some of the small companies that stopped using our JustCall recently (?) and we found that most of them left because they didn’t want to buy calling credits all the time.

To solve this problem, we are launching UNLIMITED INTERNATIONAL CALLING plans for our business phone system.  (Unlimited plans were discontinued from June 2017)
